Mrs. Glen (Alice) Keuler, 54, of Green Bay, died Tursday, April 24, at a Green Bay hospital. She was born June 22, 1931, in Chilton, to Henry and Amanda (Nett) Veit. She married Mr. Keuler May 26, 1951 in Chilton. Mrs. Keuler was an avid bowler, a member of the Green Bay Women's Association 600 Club and a league secretary for many years. Survivors include her husband; two sons and one daughter-in-law, three daughters and two sons-in-law, five grandchildren, her parents, a brother and sister-in-law, and a sister and brother-in-law. Lyndahl Funeral Home, Green Bay, took care of arrangements. The funeral was Monday at St. Agnes Catholic Church with the Rev. Carl Steiner officiating. Entombment was in the Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. A memorial fund has been established for the Cancer Society.

He was christened on 22 Jul 1925 in St. Charles Church, Charlesburg, Calumet Co, WI. He died on 18 Oct 1976 in Kiel, Manitowoc Co, WI of a heart attack. He was buried on 21 Oct 1976 in St. Mary's Cemetary, Chilton, Calumet Co, WI. Jerome served in the U.S. Air Force. He resided in Chilton, WI and worked as a lineman with Bell Telephone in Chilton, WI.

Jerome J. Keuler, 51, of 537 Reed St., Chilton, died Monday of an apparent heart attack while working at Kiel. He was born July 20, 1925, at Charlesburg, a son of Roman and Veronica Steiner Keuler. He was graduated from Chilton High School in 1943, and served in the Air Force during World War II. On July 6, 1957, he married Marion Bolz McMunn at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Chilton. Mr. Keuler was employed by the General Telephone Co. for 29 years, and also sold insurance for the Equitable Reserve Association. He was a member of St. Mary's Church, Chilton, Knights of Columbus Calumet Council 2556 and American Legion Post 125. Surviving are his widow; his mother of Chilton; two children, both at home; a stepdaughter, a stepson, a grandchild; two sisters, and a brother, Glenroy of Green Bay. His father preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Pfeffer-Wieting Funeral Home, Chilton, and at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Chilton. The Rev. James Vennix will officiate, and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends of Mr. Keuler may call from 3 p.m. Wednesday and until 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Bernice A. Hertel, age 80, of Chilton died on March 7, 2008 at the Calumet Medical Center in Chilton. She was born April 17, 1927 in Charlesburg, daughter of the late Roman & Veronica (Steiner) Keuler. She married Arnold A. Hertel on April 3, 1945 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chilton. Bernice was named Outstanding President of the 6th District of Wisconsin VFW Auxiliary in 1966. She was the author of the book Piece by Peace which led to her worldwide involvement with COPE Ministry. Survivors include her husband 8 children, a daughter-in-law, 26 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; a sister and 2 sisters-in-law. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by a son: Daniel Hertel; and 2 brothers: Jerome & Glen Keuler. Funeral services will be at 6:30 PM on Monday, March 10, 2008 at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Monday, March 10, 2008 when the service will be held. A memorial fund has been established in the name of Bernice A. Hertel.

David was born on 12 Jan 1942 in Cyumba, Byumba, Rwanda. He died on 28 May 2007 in Chicago, IL. He was cremated and the ashes were spread in the Pacific Ocean at Bellingham, Washington. David was employed as an electrical engineer. He was naturalized as an American citizen on 13 Jun 2002 in Madison, WI

In Loving Memory of David Rukashaza
David Rukashaza, 65, went to rest in the Lord’s presence on Monday, May 28, 2007. He will be remembered by all the people he counseled and supported in reaching their goals. His funeral was held at the Free Methodist Church, Platteville, on June 2, 2007. The celebrants were Pastor Steve Borwick of Platteville, Pastor John Gakwaya of Dayton, Ohio, and Pastor Samuel Nsengiyumva of Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin.

David was born January 12, 1942 in Byumba, Rwanda, the son of the late Samuel Bazirushaka and Helisi Ntiryica. After teaching in Rwanda, he received a scholarship to study in the United States. He graduated from Milwaukee School of Engineering in November 1968 as an electrical engineer. David and [Living] were joined in marriage on January 11, 1969. They returned to Rwanda that year and for 25 years he worked for and helped develop the growth of the national utilities company. David has encouraged hundreds of young people to continue their education and expand their dreams.

When war broke out in Rwanda in 1994, David assured that his family left safely, but stayed behind to take care of and help more than 70 friends in need. After he came to be with his family in Platteville, Wisconsin, he continued to work hard at any job and was able to purchase a home and make sure his family was established and their futures were secured. Despite health difficulties, he has continued to work hard, garden, laugh and encourage people to do the right things. He never complained and was cheerful to everyone around him.

David is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Rosa, his brother Simon and his sister Mari. He is survived by . . . . A memorial fund has been established for him with the National Transplant Assistance Fund and with the University of Chicago Liver Research Fund.
David and Rita had four children, three of whom are living. The third child, Rosemary Rukashaza “Rosa,” was born on 09 May 1974 in Gisenyi, Rwanda. She died on 28 Apr 1988 in Kigali, Rwanda. She was buried on 29 Apr 1988 in Kigali, Rwanda.
